MV Arvika - Wärtsilä EnergoProFin

We have installed Wärtsilä EnergoProFin hub cap on propeller of motor vessel Arvika during scheduled Dry Dock. It is designed especially for our vessel to reduce the hub vortex strength, decreases total torque, decreases hub resistance and improve fuel consumption by approximately 3% with the payback period 9 months.

WEPF design is based on vessel’s blade geometry, bub geometry, blade and hub mass and original hub cap mass. WEPF can be installed on the propeller by mounting it through original hub cap bolt holes in Dry Dock, in situ and underwater.
